Description

The S3010 emits a stream of ions to safely neutralize electrostatic subassemblies and other non-conductive, static generating materials. As it neutralizes charges, it also removes small contaminants that can damage expensive parts. The Gun uses either filtered air or nitrogen. Because it operates optimally at only 12-15 psi, with current draw of less than 0.30 amps, it offers economy as well as reliability. The nozzle assembly is a specially designed housing that accepts a variety of highly effective disposable filters that remove air-borne particles as small as 0.45 microns; it is, thus, suitable for the class 100 environment.

An unfiltered model is also available. The Gun's cast aluminum construction and stain nickel finish guarantee a long operational life. Particle generation during the operation is virtually zero. The housing containing the filter and ionizing point is constructed of stainless steel and molded Teflon parts. The unique design eliminates any chance of contaminants passing through the housing, and "O" rings prevent any particles from bypassing the filter. Filter replacement is quick, easy and requires no tools.

During the operation, a Teflon insulator support positions the stainless steel ionizing point directly in the center of the air or nitrogen stream. This precision lets you neutralize and remove contaminants from very small devices and within cracks and other surface details. A stainless steel grounding wire connects directly to the power unit (sold separately) to assure 100% grounding. The Gun also incorporates a 100-megohm resistor with Teflon shielding that protects the operator from electrical shock-even in the case of accidental contact with the ionizing point. For enhanced operator mobility, each gun is also equipped with an 8-foot especially shielded cable, which features a positive stainless-steel lock for connection to the power unit. These guns are also fully shielded against RFI generation. A bracket lets you hang the unit at a convenient location at the workstation. The Gun requires a power source. The power supply for this gun (P/N WTK-S3010PS) is a 120/220VAC, 50/60 Hz, a single-phase power unit that can operate either one or two ionizing air guns. The power supply weighs 5 lb. And its Current Draw is 0.3 amps. Indicate 230V, or 115V at the time of ordering WTK-S3010PS.
