LDR-LV5700A MULTI SDI MONITOR

The LV 5700 is a Multi SDI Monitor for HD/SD-SDI signals with an XGA TFT color LCD in an adjustable tilt front panel. The monitor tests 20 HD-SDI and SD-SDI formats with total digital processing compliant to SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 292M and SMPTE 296M. Input format, colorimetry and trilevel or black burst external reference inputs are automatically detected.
Extensive monitoring functions include waveform (YCbCr, YRGB, YGBR, RGB or GBR), vector (75% or 100% graticules), picture and surround sound monitoring modes. The first SDI module accepts two SDI inputs switchable from the front panel providing buffered SDI output(s) of the selected feed. Parade, overlay and timing modes facilitate characterization of component waveform levels and timing. Freeze mode allows comparisons of different SDI input signals. Multi-display operating modes include a thumbnail picture display.

Digital audio from HD/SD groups (1 & 2) or (3 & 4) are disembedded and output as four pairs of AES/EBU. Digital audio is also displayed as 3:1, 3:2, or 3:2:2 surround images, multi-lissajous and 8-Ch bargraphs. The peak bargraphs have selectable dynamic ranges as well as average ballistics. Remapping of the channel order allows users to create custom displays.

High Resolution decoded pix-monitor outputs may be set to feed monitor requirements as either YPbPr or GBR. Digital line-select, precision digital cursors, menu control of storage of 100 front-panel setups, flash card, USB and Ethernet round out the operating features. The HD/SD status screens list detection of input format, TRS, CRC checks for chroma and luma, video, audio ID, ancillary parity and check sum errors… User adjustable alarm error thresholds are provided for digital component level ranges. Ethernet allows full remote control operation and monitoring of operating conditions including alarms. HD/SD eye pattern analysis with automatic measurements is an option. DC operation is also available as an option.

The LT 428 component digital sync generator is an economical, compact 1U half-rack solution. It is equipped with 3 independent black burst outputs, to facilitate system timing and synchronization of digital and analog systems. Genlock allows synchronization to NTSC or PAL video signals, black burst, and composite sync.

Simultaneous test signal outputs are provided for component serial digital output conforming to SMPTE 259M and composite analog. Test patterns, 24 total, include10-bit color bars for FCC, SMPTE, EBU, 75%/100% full field and 75% red with colorbars. Other patterns include 10%/15%/20%/100% window, pluge, crosshatch, staircase 5/10 step, digital gray, check field, black, 100% white, 15kHz Bl/Wh, 75% red field. AES/EBU digital and analog audio 2-channel outputs are selectable. Word clock output is available at 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz. System setup is accomplished from a Windows PC via the RS-232C interface to set changes such as selection of NTSC or PAL, black burst and genlock timing, video output pattern, and audio frequency. Remote control software is supplied on a CD-ROM.

LDR-LT 447 Multi format Pattern Generator

• PTwo Dedicated Sensors Provided Standard
• Mini Disc with Embedded Sensor Enhances Repeatability
• Auto-Ranging Between 1 and 10 mW
• 3 1/2 Digit Digital Display

The Model LE 8010 auto-ranging laser power meter comes complete with two standard probes. A thin optical probe is provided for normal measurements. A dedicated optical sensor embedded into a MD disk increases mechanical repeatability enabling quick, accurate measurements. For most MD applications, it is not necessary to remove covers from the unit under test to check for the proper laser output level during playback or record modes of operation. The meter is ideal for measuring laser diode power at 780 nm on both CD player and MD recorder and players.
The 10-milliwatt range enables confirmation of actual laser power during MD record mode. The power meter is auto ranging with a 3 1/2 digit digital display to speed measurements. The unit operates from a standard 9-volt battery and has a low battery indicator.
